[Ferro-Alloys.com] Calcium silicon price ran stable this week in China. Ex-work price of CaSi28# was RMB11,000-11,300/mt (USD1,803-1,853, without export duty) and 30# was RMB11,300-11,500/mt (USD1,853-1,885, without export duty) at Anyang, Henan province. The export prices were as following: CaSi30#USD2,180-2,200/mt FOB, CaSi28# USD2,100-2,130/mt FOB at Tianjin port.

Due to the stable demand, CaSi transaction was not that active. In China, CaSi plants worked as normal with good capacity utilization rate. Most orders were supplied to old clients and there were few new orders to get. In terms of export market, it’s consumption off-season at the moment and the contracts were hard to sign even CaSi prices hang upside down.

On the flat demand, it’s thought that CaSi price has less momentum to increase in a short time. The weak CaSi market may have chance to turn well in Oct. on consumers purchased in advance.
