[Ferro-Alloys.com] Raw material shortage has forced Tata Steel to shut down one of its ferroalloy plant as the company waits for a renewal of its leases, over which competition is also making claims.
The 50,000 tonne plant at Bamnipal in Keonjhar district of Odisha was dependent on the company's Sukinda chrome ore mines, an 84.317-million-tonne deposit spread over 406 hectares, which has been shut since 17th May, 2014 .
