[Ferro-Alloys.com] According to statistics, UK’s iron ore imports during the first five months reached 4.672 million tons, down by 3.3% or 158,000 tons on the prior comparable period.

Brazil was the biggest iron ore exporter to UK, shipping around 2.46 million tons; shipments from Venezuela were 643,000 tons; and shipments from Canada totaled 623,000 tons.

In May alone, the country’s iron ore imports totaled 4.486 million tons, with average price of US$61.3/ton.
