According to the news, the Ministry of Finance of India released its 2021 budget on February 1 and said it would reduce import duties on some stainless steel products.
To support Small and Medium Enterprises and recyclers, India’s Ministry of Finance plans to reduce import duties on non-alloy, alloy and stainless steel semi-finished products, plates and long materials to 7.5%, the news said. In addition, India’s Ministry of Finance is considering early removal of scrap tariffs, which are scheduled to expire on March 31,2022.
