From January to April, the output of crude steel, pig iron and steel in China was 336.15 million tons, 280.3 million tons and 426.82 million tons respectively, with a year-on-year decrease of 10.3%, 9.4% and 5.9% respectively.

The output of crude steel, pig iron and steel in April was 92.78 million tons, 76.78 million tons and 114.83 million tons respectively, with a year-on-year decrease of 5.2%, flat and decrease of 5.8% respectively. In April, the average daily output of crude steel, pig iron and steel was 3092700 tons, 2559300 tons and 3827700 tons respectively, with a month on month increase of 8.58%, 10.81% and 1.51% respectively. The average daily output of pig iron reached a record high.
