ArcelorMittal to Supply 2,000 tons of Steel for Pakistan Tallest Skyscraper Project

[Ferro-Alloys.com] It’s reported that the world’s steel giant ArcelorMittal has won a €2.8 million contract to supply 2,000 tons of steel beams and 72,000 square meter of decking for the Bahria Icon Tower in Karachi, Pakistan.
 
The steel giant planned to make the first shipment of steel beams in this November.
 
In addition, ArcelorMittal will supply around 2,000 tons of W beams from its Long Carbon operations in Luxembourg through ArcelorMittal International and with 72,000 square meters of Cofrastra 56 decking supplied by ArcelorMittal’s Construction France mill in Contrisson respectively.
 
Also, the production of Cofrastra decking is expected to start in coming this month of 2012.
 
Meanwhile, it’s known that the Bahria Tower will become the tallest building which includes 260 meters high and with 62 floors for the project in Pakistan when it is completes in 2014.
