Print[Ferro-Alloys.com] China Shenhua announced that it produced commercial coal 24.3 million tonnes in September this year, up 7% year on year. In addition, its coal sales increased 12.6% on year to 36.7 million tonnes.
In Jan-Sep, it produced commercial coal 230.9 million tonnes, up 10% compared to the same period of 2011. Over the period, its coal sales amounted to 329.9 million tonnes, increasing 15.1% from a year earlier.
Additionally its total electricity output and sales volume in Sep was 15.48 billion KWH and 14.43 billion KWH respectively, down 5.3% and 5.4% year on year. Over January to September, Shenhua produced electricity 155.63 billion KWH, up 10.2% YOY. Electricity sales during the period gained 9.9% YOY to 144.8 billion KWH.
