NDRC: Profit of Steel Industry Increased by 28.9% in 2013

[Ferro-alloys.com] National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) released 2013 iron & steel industry running report recently. According to the report, profit of steel industry was RMB 258.8 billion (USD43.1 billion) in 2013, up 28.9% year-on-year. Profit of ferrous metals mining and dressing industry was RMB 10.50 billion while profit of steel smelting and processing industry was RMB 13.05 billion.
 
In 2013, national crude steel output was 779.04 million mt, up 7.5% year-on-year. Rolled steel output was 10.67 billion mt, up 11.4% year-on-year.
