Silicon Metal Price Kept Increasing in September in China (Sep.1st- Sep.5th)

[Fellow]Silicon metal price kept increasing in the first week of September in China. Off-grade Si553# price increased by RMB 200-300/mt. Other silicon metal price increased by about RMB 100/mt. Silicon metal export price also began to increase.

[Ferro-alloys.com] Silicon metal price kept increasing in the first week of September in China. Off-grade Si553# price increased by RMB 200-300/mt. Other silicon metal price increased by about RMB 100/mt. Silicon metal export price also began to increase.

Until the first week of September, quotations were as follows: Kunming delivered price for off-grade Si553#, RMB12100-12,300/mt, Si553#, RMB12,800-12,900/mt and Si441#, RMB13,400/mt; Tianjin port price for Si421#, RMB14,100-14,200/mt and Si411#, RMB14,300-14,400/mt; much higher prices of Si2202# and Si3303#.

Export market of Si metal: Until the first week of September,, Si553# was USD 2,030-2,060/mt, Si441# was USD 2,230-2,250/mt, Si421# was USD2,310-2,330/mt, Si 411# was USD2,330-2,350/mt, Si3,303# was USD2,340-2,360/mt and Si2,202# was USD2,500-2,530/mt FOB.

Western Si metal prices remained stable in early September. European Si 553# price was EUR 2200-2250/mt; the US was 144-147cents/lb. Affected by Chinese market, India silicon metal price increased. And India delivered price for Si off-grade 553#, USD2,150/mt. Japan was also effected by Chinese market.

Analysis: Silicon metal price would keep increasing. Export market would keep up with Chinese market and export price would increase. Silicon metal in Korea, Japan and India was mainly come from China, and these countries silicon metal would also effected by China.
